2019:

  • CONFERENCE (Paris) – UKCCD participates in submission from civil society organisations to Conference of Parties in UNESCO

2018:

  • Took part in the Cultural Diversity: How to sustain it in the Digital Era conference at the European Parliament (January)

2017:

  • Participated in research and write-up of first Civil Society Report submitted to UNESCO Cultural Secretariat

2016:

  • Citizens campaign for Public Service Broadcasting – campaign leaflet

  • April: Partnering with the European Movement to form Creatives4Europe and bringing together a network of creative industry/arts/culture organisations to lobby for REMAIN – launched at the House of Lords

2015:

  • Submission to the Government Consultation on the Future of the BBC advocating, inter alia, an independent model of governance (September)

  • Campaigning to include cultural targets in Post Millennium Development Goals

  • International Context for National Cultural Strategy & Review on creative industries and the digital economy – Submission to Labour Party (February)

2014:

  • UKCCD partners with European coalitions for Brussels event on ‘Culture in EU External Relations’

  • February: Took part in the Fiscal Regulation conference in Brussels

2013:

  • UK Quadrennial Review – Advised UK National Commission and DCMS on final submission of 4-year assessment of action to promote the convention and follow through for next report. See UNESCO site for national Periodic Reports.

2012:

  • UKCCD established as the MEP Platform for Cultural Diversity, Brussels (Jan)

2010:

  • June: Took part in the panel discussion of the Forum for Young Leaders on Cultural Policy: How can UNESCO’s Convention on the Protection and Promotion of Diversity of Cultural Expressions (2005) strengthen UK Cultural Policy?
