| Bectu recently ran a snap poll (open to members and non-members) on the ongoing impact of the industry slowdown on film and TV workers. This follows our September 2023 survey, during the SAG-AFTRA industrial action, which found that three quarters of the workforce was out of work. The results are worrying and show concerning statistics regarding the drought in available work in the nations and regions. Bectu is carrying out further media and stakeholder work to raise awareness of the extremely difficult position freelancers working in film and TV are in, and we at UKCCD are committed to advancing these messages through our campaigns too. |
