UKCCD has recently responded to the DCMS Consultation on the potential for the privatisation of Channel 4.
On consideration of the evidence put forward by the DCMS, the strength of Channel 4’s track record and current performance, and the perfect storm of factors affecting local UK production post Brexit and mid-pandemic, UKCCD strongly recommends that Channel 4 should remain in public ownership.
